Bergman, Abramov part of four-player deal

The Columbus Blue Jackets have acquired center Matt Duchene and defenseman Julius Bergman from the Ottawa Senators in exchange for conditional first-round picks in the 2019 and 2020 NHL Drafts, right wing Vitaly Abramov and right wing Jonathan Davidsson.

Bergman, 23, has collected six assists in 33 AHL games with the Belleville Senators this season. The fourth-year pro from Stockholm, Sweden, has skated in 223 career AHL games with Belleville, San Jose and Worcester, totaling 16 goals and 51 assists for 67 points.

Bergman was a second-round pick by San Jose in the 2014 NHL Draft and was acquired by Ottawa in a trade with the Sharks on June 19, 2018.

Abramov, 20, has recorded 12 goals and 10 assists for 22 points in 52 games with the AHL’s Cleveland Monsters this season.

The rookie from Chelyabinsk, Russia, was a third-round choice by Columbus in the 2016 NHL Draft. He played three junior seasons in the QMJHL, collecting 45 goals and 59 assists for 104 points in 56 games between Gatineau and Victoriaville in 2017-18.
