Admirals, Aeros get season restarted

The road to the 2007 Calder Cup Playoffs resumes with a Thursday matinee at the Toyota Center, where the Houston Aeros look to snap a four-game losing streak when they host the Milwaukee Admirals in a noon (ET) start today.

Scouting the Aeros

Milwaukee (23-17-3-5), AHL affiliate of the Nashville Predators, is in third place in the West Division with 54 points – five behind second-place Omaha and three clear of fourth-place Iowa… Saturday, Milwaukee wrapped up a grueling stretch of six games in seven nights, going 3-3-0-1… C Rich Peverley paces the Ads in scoring with 49 points (20-29=49), and he is a team-best plus-10… All-Star D Sheldon Brookbank leads the blueline corps with 34 points (9-25=34)… G Karl Goehring is 18-11-4 with a 2.57 gaa… G Pekka Rinne, who missed the first half of the season after a shoulder injury, is 1-2-1 with a 3.73 gaa and a .867 save pct.
