Admirals returning to playoffs

After a one-year absence, the Milwaukee Admirals are returning to the Calder Cup Playoffs.

Milwaukee clinched a postseason berth on Saturday night with a 2-1 victory over the San Antonio Rampage at the BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee.

The Central Division-leading Admirals (43-21-3-2, 91 points, .659) have qualified for the Calder Cup Playoffs 14 times in 15 seasons since joining the AHL, missing out only in 2015. The Ads were Calder Cup champions in 2004 and returned to the Finals in 2006.

Four of the 16 playoff spots in the American Hockey League postseason have been claimed. For more information and daily updates on the playoff races, check out the official AHL Playoff Primer.
