Aeros add goaltender Deslauriers

The Minnesota Wild announced on Wednesday that the club has acquired goaltender Jeff Drouin-Deslauriers from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for future considerations.

He has been assigned to the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League.

Deslauriers, 28, went 6-8-1 with a 3.25 goals-against average and a .902 save percentage in 15 games with Fort Wayne in the ECHL this season. He also appeared in two games for the Norfolk Admirals in the AHL, going 1-1-0 with a 3.51 GAA and an .889 save percentage.

The 6-foot-4, 203-pound native of St.-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Que., has appeared in 190 career AHL games with Norfolk, Syracuse, Oklahoma City, Springfield, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Hamilton and Edmonton, going 83-82-14 with seven shutouts. In 62 career NHL games with Edmonton and Anaheim, Deslauriers has a record of 23-32-4 with a 3.24 GAA, a .901 save percentage and three shutouts.

He was originally selected by Edmonton in the second round (31st overall) of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
