AHL announces suspensions

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League today announced the following suspensions:

Providence Bruins forward Tyler Randell has been suspended for one (1) game as a consequence of an illegal check to the head of an opponent in a playoff game at Hershey on May 6.

Randell was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 28.1 (supplementary discipline).

Randell will miss Game 3 of the teams’ Atlantic Division Finals playoff series Thursday (May 11).

Syracuse Crunch defenseman Jake Dotchin has been suspended for three (3) games as a consequence of an interference incident in a playoff game vs. Toronto on May 6.

Dotchin was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 28.1 (supplementary discipline).

With Syracuse leading two games to none, Dotchin will miss Games 3 and 4 of the teams’ North Division Finals playoff series tonight (May 9) and Wednesday (May 10), as well as either Game 5 of the series on Saturday (May 13) or Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
