AHL announces suspension

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League today announced that Charlotte Checkers defenseman Ryan Murphy has been suspended for three (3) games as a consequence of a clipping incident in a game at Texas on Dec. 11.

Murphy was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 28.1 (supplementary discipline). He will miss Charlotte’s games Tuesday (Dec. 15) and Thursday (Dec. 17) vs. Iowa and Saturday (Dec. 19) vs. Lake Erie.
