AHL announces suspension

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League today announced that Bridgeport Sound Tigers left wing Brandon DeFazio has been suspended for six (6) games as a consequence of his actions in a game at Connecticut on Dec. 5. DeFazio was assessed a game misconduct for leaving the players’ bench for the purpose of starting an altercation.

DeFazio will miss Bridgeport’s games Saturday (Dec. 8) at Albany; Sunday (Dec. 9) vs. Syracuse; Tuesday (Dec. 11) at Portland; Dec. 14 and Dec. 15 at Norfolk; and Dec. 19 vs. Albany.
