AHL announces suspensions

The American Hockey League announced today that Hartford Wolf Pack left wing Ryan Hollweg and Lowell Lock Monsters right wing Carsen Germyn have been suspended for two (2) regular-season games each as a result of their actions during a March 19, 2005, AHL game between the teams.

Both players will begin serving their suspensions tonight when Hartford hosts Lowell. Hollweg will be eligible to return on Fri., Apr. 1, at Springfield. Germyn will be eligible to return on Sat., Mar. 26, vs. Worcester.

Additionally, the AHL has suspended San Antonio Rampage left wing Robb Palahnuk for six (6) regular-season games as a result of his actions during a March 20, 2005, AHL game vs. Utah.

Palahnuk will begin serving his suspension on Sat., Mar. 26, vs. Grand Rapids. He will be eligible to return on Sun., Apr. 10, at Houston.

The AHL has also suspended Edmonton Road Runners defenseman Rocky Thompson for two (2) regular-season games as a result of his actions during a March 20, 2005, AHL game at Grand Rapids.

Thompson will begin serving his suspension on Fri., Mar. 25, vs. Hamilton. He will be eligible to return on Wed., Mar. 30, vs. Chicago.
