AHL announces suspensions

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League today announced the following suspensions: 

• Albany Devils right wing Cam Janssen has been suspended for five (5) games as a consequence of a match penalty for an illegal check to the head of an opponent, assessed in a game vs. Binghamton on Mar. 1. 

Janssen will miss Albany’s games Friday (Mar. 6) and Saturday (Mar. 7) at St. John’s; Mar. 13 vs. Worcester; Mar. 14 vs. Syracuse; and Mar. 15 vs. Springfield. 

• Worcester Sharks left wing Jimmy Bonneau has been suspended for three (3) games as a result of an elbowing incident in a game vs. St. John’s on Feb. 28. 

Bonneau was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 28.1 (supplementary discipline). 

Bonneau will miss Worcester’s games Friday (Mar. 6) vs. Hartford, Saturday (Mar. 7) vs. Bridgeport and Sunday (Mar. 8) at Providence. 

• Charlotte Checkers left wing Brock McGinn has been suspended for one (1) game as a result of a charging incident in a game at Hamilton on Feb. 28. 

McGinn was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 28.1 (supplementary discipline). 

McGinn will miss Charlotte’s game Wednesday (Mar. 4) vs. San Antonio. 

• Milwaukee Admirals left wing Richard Clune has been suspended for one (1) game as a result of his actions in a game at Chicago on Mar. 1. 

Clune received an automatic one-game suspension under the provisions of AHL Rule 46.11 for accumulating his third instigating misconduct this season. 

Clune will miss Milwaukee’s game Wednesday (Mar. 4) at Lake Erie.
