AHL announces suspensions

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League today announced the following suspensions:

  • Rockford IceHogs left wing Adam Berti has been suspended for three (3) regular-season games as a result of his actions during an AHL game vs. Rochester on Dec. 14. Berti was assessed a match penalty under AHL Rule 47.14 at 20:00 of the third period.

Berti missed Rockford’s games on Saturday (Dec. 15) vs. Quad City and Sunday (Dec. 16) at San Antonio, and will also miss Rockford’s game tonight (Dec. 18) at San Antonio.

  • Hershey Bears left wing Tom Maxwell has been suspended for two (2) regular-season games as a result of his actions during an AHL game vs. Norfolk on Dec. 14. Maxwell was assessed a match penalty under AHL Rule 21.1 at 11:42 of the third period.

Maxwell missed Hershey’s game on Saturday (Dec. 15) vs. Toronto, and will also miss Hershey’s game on Wednesday (Dec. 19) vs. Binghamton.

  • Bridgeport Sound Tigers left wing Kip Brennan has been suspended for one (1) regular-season game as a result of his actions during an AHL game vs. Albany on Dec. 16. Brennan received an automatic one-game suspension under AHL Rule 23.3 for accumulating three game misconducts in the general category this season.

Brennan will miss Bridgeport’s game on Wednesday (Dec. 19) vs. Norfolk.
