AHL announces suspensions

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League today announced the following suspensions:

Lehigh Valley Phantoms forward Tyrell Goulbourne has been suspended for two (2) games as a consequence of his actions in a game vs. Charlotte on Nov. 10.

Goulbourne was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 21.1 after being assessed a match penalty. He will miss Lehigh Valley’s games Wednesday (Nov. 14) vs. Charlotte and Friday (Nov. 16) at Providence.

Bridgeport Sound Tigers forward Steve Bernier has been suspended for two (2) games as a consequence of a charging incident in a game vs. Providence on Nov. 10.

Bernier was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 28.1 (supplementary discipline). He will miss Bridgeport’s games Wednesday (Nov. 14) at Hartford and Friday (Nov. 16) at Laval.

Bridgeport Sound Tigers defenseman Kyle Burroughs has been suspended for one (1) game as a consequence of a high-sticking incident in a game vs. Providence on Nov. 10.

Burroughs was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 28.1 (supplementary discipline). He will miss Bridgeport’s game Wednesday (Nov. 14) at Hartford.
