AHL announces suspensions

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League today announced the following suspensions:

Hershey Bears left wing Liam O’Brien has been suspended for three (3) games as a consequence of a checking-from-behind incident in a game vs. Syracuse on Dec. 20.

O’Brien was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 28.1 (supplementary discipline). He will miss Hershey’s games Saturday (Dec. 26) vs. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Sunday (Dec. 27) vs. Binghamton and Tuesday (Dec. 29) vs. Syracuse.

Rockford IceHogs right wing Ryan Hartman has been suspended for three (3) games as a consequence of his match penalty for an illegal check to the head of an opponent in a game vs. Milwaukee on Dec. 21.

Hartman will miss Rockford’s games Saturday (Dec. 26) vs. Milwaukee, Saturday (Dec. 27) at Iowa and Dec. 30 vs. Chicago.
