AHL announces suspensions

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League today announced the following suspensions: 

Toronto Marlies left wing Richard Clune has been suspended for one (1) game as a consequence of his actions at the conclusion of a game vs. Syracuse on Jan. 2. 

Clune was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 28.1 (supplementary discipline). He will miss Toronto’s game Friday (Jan. 8) at Manitoba. 

Bridgeport Sound Tigers defenseman Matt Carkner has been suspended for one (1) game as a consequence of a boarding incident in a game vs. Hershey on Jan. 3. 

Carkner was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 28.1 (supplementary discipline). He will miss Bridgeport’s game Friday (Jan. 8) at Providence.
