AHL announces suspensions

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League today announced the following suspensions:

Rockford IceHogs defenseman Theo Peckham has been suspended for two (2) games as a consequence of an illegal check to the head of an opponent in a game vs. Milwaukee on Feb. 22.

Peckham was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 28.1 (supplementary discipline).

Peckham will miss Rockford’s games Tuesday (Feb. 25) at Iowa and Friday (Feb. 28) at Oklahoma City.

Texas Stars defenseman Cameron Gaunce has been suspended for one (1) game as a consequence of a match penalty for slew-footing assessed in a game vs. Charlotte on Feb. 22.

Gaunce will miss Texas’s game Tuesday (Feb. 25) at Lake Erie.

Hershey Bears right wing Brandon Segal has been suspended for two (2) games as a consequence of a boarding incident in a game vs. Syracuse on Feb. 22.

Segal was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 28.1 (supplementary discipline).

Segal will miss Hershey’s games Tuesday (Feb. 25) at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Friday (Feb. 28) at Hartford.
