A tightly contested Atlantic Division semifinal series comes down to a decisive Game 5 as Bridgeport hosts Hershey tonight… Three of the first four games of the series have been decided by a single goal, and neither team has scored more than two goals in regulation… Matt Lorito (1-2-3) scored 1:13 into overtime of Game 4 on Thursday to give the Sound Tigers a 3-2 victory, their second OT win of the series and their first-ever victory on the road when facing elimination (1-6)… Stephen Gionta (1-0-1) and Oliver Wahlstrom (1-2-3) also scored for Bridgeport, which erased one-goal deficits twice in regulation… Gionta’s goal was his first in the postseason since May 23, 2012, in Game 5 of the NHL’s Eastern Conference finals with New Jersey… Ryan Sproul (2-0-2) and Jayson Megna (2-0-2) scored for Hershey in Game 4… Both of Megna’s goals in the series have come shorthanded… The Sound Tigers are 3-for-17 on the power play in the series and a perfect 16-for-16 on the penalty kill… Christopher Gibson (2-1, 1.69, .933) made 22 saves for Bridgeport in Game 4, while Vitek Vanecek (1-1, 1.49, .962) stopped 37 shots for Hershey… Both of the Sound Tigers’ wins in the series have come after they trailed entering the third period; during the regular season, Bridgeport was 3-20-1-0 when down after two periods while Hershey was 30-1-1-2 when leading through 40… The Bears have scored the game’s first goal in all four games… This is the 177th winner-take-all playoff game in AHL history… Home teams are 109-67 (.619), including 17-5 since 2014… The Bears are 22-20 all-time in winner-take-all Calder Cup Playoff games (7-15 on the road)… The Sound Tigers are 1-2 (1-1 at home)… This will be the first winner-take-all game at Webster Bank Arena since Apr. 25, 2004, a 3-2 Sound Tigers overtime loss to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton… Tonight’s winner moves on to face the Charlotte Checkers in the Atlantic Division Finals.

Bakersfield and Colorado resume their Pacific Division semifinal series tonight after a three-day layoff, with the Condors holding a 2-1 lead and looking to advance… Bakersfield pulled back ahead in the series with a 5-2 victory in Game 3 on Tuesday night, propelled by Evan Bouchard‘s three-point performance in his AHL debut… The 19-year-old Bouchard, who yesterday was named the Ontario Hockey League’s defenseman of the year for 2018-19, scored once and added two assists in his first game after joining the Condors from London (OHL)… Evan Polei (2-1-3) also had three points in Game 3, Ryan Stanton (1-1-2) notched a goal and an assist and Luke Esposito (0-2-2) and Keegan Lowe (0-2-2) added two assists apiece for Bakersfield, which outshot Colorado 17-1 in the first period and 41-18 for the game… Polei, Stanton, Esposito and Lowe all had multiple-point performances in Game 3 after being held scoreless in Games 1 and 2… Shane Starrett (2-1, 2.37, .896) finished with 16 saves in Game 3… Anton Lindholm (1-0-1) and Sheldon Dries (1-0-1) scored for the Eagles, who have lost eight of their last 12 games since a nine-game winning streak from Feb. 26 to Mar. 16… Andrew Agozzino (3-0-3) remains Colorado’s leading scorer in the series thanks to his Game 2 hat trick… Both teams are 1-for-12 on the power play in the series.

Islanders, 1-0 in overtime… Brent Burns notched a goal and three assists and Kevin Labanc scored the winning goal in San Jose’s 5-2 victory over Colorado.
