On the Western Conference champion Blackhawks, 18 of the 23 players to be penciled into the lineup so far this postseason are AHL alumni, including five who spent time with the Rockford IceHogs this season... On the other side, the Eastern Conference champion Bruins boast 20 AHL graduates among their 24 players to have dressed for game action in the playoffs, including six former AHL All-Stars, two Calder Cup champions and nine former Providence Bruins... Blackhawks head coach Joel Quenneville and Bruins head coach Claude Julien both finished their playing careers in the AHL in 1991-92, with Quenneville's St. John's Maple Leafs defeating Julien's Moncton Hawks in the playoffs en route to a trip to the Calder Cup Finals.
