Game 5 - 8:00 ET, AHL Live (OKC leads series, 3-1)
The first ticket to the 2013 conference finals can be punched tonight as Oklahoma City is one win away from ousting the Western Conference's top seed... Five third-period goals last night propelled the Barons to a 7-3 win over Texas and a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series... Antti Tyrvainen (2-1-3) scored twice in the third period -- his first two goals in exactly three months (Feb. 15) -- tying the game at 3-3 with 13:08 remaining and tacking on an empty-netter that made it 6-3 with 1:24 to play... Two of Tyrvainen's three goals during the regular season also came vs. Texas... Mark Arcobello (8-4-12) scored two goals in Game 4 as well, taking over the AHL playoff lead with eight postseason goals and extending his point-scoring streak to four games... Arcobello has scored in each of the first four games of the series... Taylor Fedun (1-1-2) scored the game-winner with 5:36 left, his first career postseason goal... C.J. Stretch (3-4-7) had a goal and an assist for the Barons and Brandon Davidson (0-3-3), Tyler Pitlick (2-4-6) and Philippe Cornet (1-5-6) all picked up two assists... Fifteen different Barons recorded at least one point in the game including Yann Danis, who was credited with an assist along with his 26 saves (6-3, 2.32, .931)... Randy Jones (1-3-4), who won a Calder Cup with Philadelphia in 2005, was a plus-3 for Oklahoma City in Game 4 and owns a league-best plus-13 rating for the postseason... Brett Ritchie (2-0-2), Colton Sceviour (1-3-4) and Joe Morrow (2-1-3) were the goal scorers for Texas, which has netted just 13 goals in eight playoff games... Cristopher Nilstorp (4-4, 1.97, .932) made 39 saves but allowed six goals in a game for just the second time all season; the first was also to Oklahoma City, in a 6-4 loss on Nov. 21... Seventeen teams in AHL history have come back from 3-1 down to win a best-of-seven playoff series, most recently Binghamton (vs. Manchester) and Manitoba (vs. Lake Erie) in the first round of the 2011 postseason.

About Last Night...

Oklahoma City's five goals in the third period last night were the most in a single AHL playoff frame since Hershey scored six times in the second period (at Bridgeport) and Hamilton scored five in the second period (vs. Manitoba), both on Apr. 17, 2010... In the other Western Conference semifinal series, Toronto rallied from 2-0 and 3-1 deficits to tie the game at 3-3, but the Marlies were never able to take the lead and Grand Rapids held on for a 5-4 win to take a two-games-to-one lead in their best-of-seven... Over in the East, Carter Camper scored 31 seconds into overtime to give Providence a 2-1 win in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and a 3-0 series lead... Syracuse improved its postseason record to 6-0 and closed in on its second consecutive series sweep with a 3-0 win over Springfield in Game 3, as Ondrej Palat notched a goal and two assists and Cedrick Desjardins made 24 saves... In the Stanley Cup Playoffs, 2005 Calder Cup champion Patrick Sharp tallied a goal and two assists and was named the game's first star as Chicago defeated Detroit, 4-1, in Game 1 of their second-round series.
