Grand Rapids visits first-place Toronto in a North Division matchup tonight, the front end of a home-and-home between the teams… The Marlies have won six in a row, matching the longest winning streak in club history (Dec. 15-29, 2007)… Toronto is also 6-0-1-0 at Ricoh Coliseum, the only team without a regulation loss at home this season… Mike Zigomanis (4-16-20) has taken over the Marlies team scoring lead from Joe Colborne (10-9-19), who remains on recall to the parent Maple Leafs… Mark Owuya (4-1-1, 1.73, .937) has stopped 164 of 175 shots in his seven appearances for Toronto… Grand Rapids defeated the Marlies, 3-2, back on Oct. 14 in the teams’ only previous meeting this season… The Griffins are 1-4-1-0 in their last six games overall after a pair of 5-4 losses to Oklahoma City over the weekend… Grand Rapids forward Gustav Nyquist (6-14-20) is tied for second among all AHL rookies in scoring.

Norfolk trails Wilkes-Barre/Scranton by two points for the top spot in the East Division as the teams meet at Scope tonight… The Penguins ended a five-game winless streak with a 3-2 win in Binghamton on Saturday, improving to 9-1-0-2 on the road this season… Colin McDonald (5-13-18) had a goal and an assist in Saturday’s victory, and is now tied with Bryan Lerg (9-9-18) for the Pens’ scoring lead… McDonald also sports a plus-8 rating for the season, and has been even or better in 19 of his 20 outings… Ben Street has 2-2-4 in two games vs. the Admirals this season… Norfolk, coming off a two-game sweep of visiting Providence over the weekend, continues to be led in scoring by AHL rookie leader Cory Conacher (10-13-23)… James Wright (1-4-5) recorded a goal and an assist in Saturday’s 3-2 win, his first points in 18 games… Dustin Tokarski (7-5-0, 2.49, .903) made 26 saves.

Abbotsford begins a four-game trip with a visit to Milwaukee tonight… The Heat have lost five in a row at home but are 11-2-0-0 on the road this season, and sit four points out of first place in the West Division… Abbotsford’s offense has gone cold, scoring one non-shootout goal in the last three games… Quintin Laing scored the only goal in the Heat’s 3-1 loss to San Antonio on Sunday… Leland Irving (13-7-0, 2.18, .919) stopped 16 of 19 shots as he made his 20th start in 21 games… Milwaukee is back home after its AHL-record 23-game road points streak finally ended in back-to-back regulation losses at Charlotte over the weekend… Ian Herbers, a Calder Cup champion with the 1993 Cape Breton Oilers, makes his AHL head coaching debut for the Admirals tonight after Kirk Muller was hired by the Carolina Hurricanes yesterday… Chris Mueller (6-7-13) has three goals and an assist in his last three games for Milwaukee.
