AHL announces suspensions

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League today announced the following suspensions:

Charlotte Checkers defenseman Matt Tennyson has been suspended for one (1) game as a consequence of a boarding incident in a game vs. Rockford on Nov. 3.

Tennyson was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 28.1 (supplementary discipline). He will miss Charlotte’s game Thursday (Nov. 10) at Iowa.

Stockton Heat forward Brandon Bollig has been suspended for two (2) games as a consequence of an illegal check to the head of an opponent during a game vs. San Diego on Nov. 4.

Bollig was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 28.1 (supplementary discipline). He will miss Stockton’s games Friday (Nov. 11) and Saturday (Nov. 12) vs. San Antonio.

San Diego Gulls defenseman Stu Bickel has been suspended for one (1) game as a consequence of his actions at the conclusion of a game at Stockton on Nov. 4.

Bickel was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 28.1 (supplementary discipline). He will miss San Diego’s game Friday (Nov. 11) vs. Manitoba.

San Diego Gulls forward Antoine Laganiere has been suspended for (1) game as a consequence of a high-sticking incident in a game at Stockton on Nov. 5.

Laganiere was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 28.1 (supplementary discipline). He will miss San Diego’s game Friday (Nov. 11) vs. Manitoba.
