This week’s #AHLFanFriday winners are Damian and Amanda McMullen, long-time hockey fans. So much so, they had a Toronto Marlies-themed wedding.
While my wife and I are not exactly in AHL team gear we have a good explanation. This is us on our wedding day opening weekend last season (October 10th, 2015) at Ricoh Colesium before the Marlies game against the Manitoba Moose.
Our relationship began through attendance of Marlies games with our respective children who are pictured below in Marlies gear at the wedding.
Even our wedding cake was hockey-themed featuring a replica of the Calder Cup topped with a 3D model of us dressed in Marlies jerseys.
People ask me all the time how I convinced her to do this for our wedding. The answer is simple: It was her idea!
