All-Star Hunt claimed by Predators

The Nashville Predators announced Tuesday that the club has claimed defenseman Brad Hunt on waivers from St. Louis.

Hunt, 28, leads all AHL defensemen in points per game this season, notching 29 points (nine goals, 20 assists) in 23 contests with the Chicago Wolves. He tallied nine points in his last four games prior to his recall to St. Louis on Dec. 8, and earlier this month was selected to his fourth AHL All-Star Classic in the last five years.

Hunt has also appeared in nine NHL games for the Blues this season, tallying one goal and four assists.

A First Team AHL All-Star in 2014-15 and a Second Team selection in 2013-14, Hunt has tallied 57 goals and 152 assists for 209 points in 287 career AHL games with Chicago, Bakersfield and Oklahoma City. He has also appeared in 30 NHL games with Edmonton and St. Louis, totaling two goals and six assists.
