SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League announced today that Hamilton Bulldogs right wing Sven Andrighetto has been selected as the CCM/AHL Player of the Week for the period ending Feb. 9, 2014.

Andrighetto recorded three goals and five assists for eight points in four road games for the Bulldogs last week.

On Tuesday in Rockford, Andrighetto scored a goal and assisted on three others, setting a personal season high with four points in a 6-4 loss. He was held scoreless Wednesday in Milwaukee, but came back with two assists on Saturday night, helping the Bulldogs to a come-from-behind 5-4 win over Binghamton in a game played in Ottawa. Finally, Andrighetto scored two goals, including the game-winner in the third period, as the Bulldogs edged Toronto, 4-3, on Sunday afternoon.

A third-round pick by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, Andrighetto has 12 goals and 15 assists for 27 points in 36 games with Hamilton this season. The 20-year-old rookie from Zurich, Switzerland, played the previous two seasons in the QMJHL, totaling 67 goals and 105 assists for 172 points in 115 games with Rouyn-Noranda.
