A fourth-round draft choice by Pittsburgh in 2003, Bissonnette has played 202 NHL games with Pittsburgh and Phoenix, recording seven goals and 15 assists for 22 points. In 252 AHL games with Ontario, Manchester, Portland and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, he has 16 goals and 24 assists for 40 points along with 605 penalty minutes.

Bissonnette won a Calder Cup championship with Manchester in 2015, and has picked up one goal and four assists in 50 career AHL playoff games.
