Blackhawks acquire AHL All-Star Quenneville

The Chicago Blackhawks have acquired forward John Quenneville from the New Jersey Devils in exchange for forward John Hayden.

Quenneville, 23, recorded 18 goals and 21 assists for 39 points in 37 games with the AHL’s Binghamton Devils in 2018-19 and played in his first AHL All-Star Classic. In 138 AHL games over his three pro seasons, Quenneville has totaled 46 goals and 73 assists for 119 points.

A first-round choice (30th overall) in the 2014 NHL Draft, Quenneville also tallied one goal in 19 NHL games with New Jersey in 2018-19. He has amassed two goals and three assists in 33 career NHL games, all with the Devils.

Hayden, 24, has eight goals and 14 assists for 22 points in 113 career NHL games with the Blackhawks.

The Chicago native spent part of the 2017-18 season in the AHL with the Rockford IceHogs, where he registered five goals and 12 assists in 24 regular-season games and three goals in 13 playoff contests.
