Blue Jackets re-sign Moran

The Columbus Blue Jackets, parent team of the AHL’s Syracuse Crunch, have re-signed center Brad Moran. In accordance with club policy, terms of the contract were not released.

Moran, 25, appeared in 72 games last season with Syracuse and was the team’s second leading scorer with 24 goals and 35 assists. Moran led the team in playoff scroing with eight points, including five goals and three assists in seven games. He added a goal and an assist in two games with Columbus last season.

The 5-foot-11, 187-pound native of British Columbia was acquired by the Blue Jackets on June 5, 2000 as free agent.

Moran was originally drafted by Buffalo, 191st overall, in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft
