Blue Jackets sign Ramage

The Columbus Blue Jackets, parent club of the AHL’s Lake Erie Monsters, have signed defenseman John Ramage to a one-year, two-way contract.

Ramage, 24, tallied three goals and 12 assists for 15 points in 57 AHL games with the Adirondack Flames in 2014-15, and also made his NHL debut with Calgary, skating in one contest.

As a rookie in 2013-14, Ramage notched one assist in 50 AHL games with the Abbotsford Heat.

A fourth-round draft pick by Calgary in 2010, Ramage, a native of St. Louis, Mo., spent four seasons at the University of Wisconsin before turning pro.
