The Columbus Blue Jackets announced Monday that forward Alex Broadhurst has signed a one-year, two-way NHL/AHL contract for the 2018-19 season.

Last year, Broadhurst made his NHL debut with Columbus, making two appearances. He added 19 goals and 22 assists for 41 points in 66 games with the AHL’s Cleveland Monsters, leading the club in goals and ranking tied for second on the team in assists.

The New Lenox, Ill., native has tallied 62 goals and 99 assists for 161 points in 282 career AHL games with Cleveland/Lake Erie and Rockford over five AHL seasons, and was a member of the Monsters’ Calder Cup championship team in 2016.

Originally a seventh-round selection by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2011 NHL Draft, Broadhurst was acquired by Columbus via trade on June 30, 2015.
