Bulldogs push high-octane Wolves to the brink

Carey Price shut the door on the Chicago Wolves and Hamilton took a stranglehold on the Western Conference Final with a 2-1 victory in Game 3 at Copps Coliseum on Wednesday night.

The Bulldogs lead the series three games to none, and can sweep away the Wolves with another win in Game 4 on Friday.

Price, the heralded 19-year-old rookie, made 13 of his 35 saves in the third period as Hamilton took a stranglehold on the series and closed in on its second Calder Cup Final appearance in five seasons.

Zack Stortini and Corey Locke scored second-period goals for the Bulldogs, who won their fifth straight game.

Jordan LaVallee registered the only goal for Chicago, which has dropped six of seven meetings with Hamilton this season.
