Canadiens recall Leblanc

Montreal Canadiens General Manager Pierre Gauthier announced tonight that forward Louis Leblanc has been recalled from the Hamilton Bulldogs.

Leblanc, 20, has played in 14 games for Hamilton this season and is tied for second on the team with 10 points (4 goals, 6 assists) while registering two power-play goals and 48 shots on goal.

The 6-foot, 184-pound forward played in 51 games with the Montreal Junior of the QMJHL in 2010-2011, posting 58 points (26 goals, 32 assists) and 100 penalty minutes.

The native of Pointe-Claire, Que., was drafted by the Canadiens in the first round, 18th overall in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
