Strachan, 28, played in 38 games with the Florida Panthers last season, compiling four assists and 40 penalty minutes, and added one goal and eight assists in 24 AHL games with San Antonio. In 216 career AHL contests, Strachan has collected 12 goals and 56 assists for 68 points.
The native of Melfort, Sask., has appeared in 120 games in the NHL with Florida and St. Louis, registering one goal and 12 assists for 13 points. He was drafted by Carolina in 2003 and spent four seasons at Ohio State University.
Watkins, 26, registered 30 points (11 goals, 19 assists) and 43 penalty minutes in 68 games with Bridgeport of the AHL in 2012-13, serving as the Sound Tigers’ captain over the second half of the season.
The native of Aylesbury, Sask., has compiled 123 points (49 goals, 74 assists) and 153 penalty minutes in 253 career AHL games over four pro seasons with Bridgeport, Portland and San Antonio and has appeared in one NHL game with the Phoenix Coyotes. Watkins was originally drafted by Dallas in 2005 and played four years at the University of North Dakota.
Leggio, 28, led the AHL in wins and games played in 2012-13, compiling a 38-24-1 record with a 2.56 goals-against average, a .924 save percentage (tied for fourth) and four shutouts in 64 appearances with Rochester. His 1,957 saves were the third-most by an AHL goalie in the last 40 years.
Leggio owns a record of 88-62-3 with a 2.67 GAA, a .918 save percentage and nine shutouts in 156 career AHL outings.
