Chicago becomes second team in Conference Finals

Darren Haydar tallied a goal and two assists and teammate Jason Krog added a goal and a helper as the Wolves finished off the Iowa Stars with a 5-1 win at Allstate Arena on Saturday.

Chicago advances to the Western Conference Finals with a 4 games to 1 series win over the Stars.

Haydar continues his assault on the AHL record book for Calder Cup, moving into 4th place on the league’s all-time playoff scoring leaderboard with 93 points and 6th with 53 assists.

Jordan LaVallee, Brett Sterling and defenseman Mark Popovic also provided goals for Chicago, who improved its playoff mark to 4-1 at home.

Michael Garnett stopped 17 of 18 shots in the contest to earn his 10th career Calder Cup Playoff win and going 8-2 in the 2007 postseason.

The Wolves will face the winner of the North Division Finals between Manitoba and Hamilton, which is tied 2-2.
