Colborne returned to Marlies

Brian Burke, President and General Manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced Thursday that the hockey club has assigned forward Joe Colborne to the Toronto Marlies.

Colborne, 21, has played nine games for the Leafs this season collecting one goal and three assists along with two penalty minutes.

The Edmonton, Alta., native scored his first NHL goal November 22 at Tampa Bay.

In 13 games with the Marlies this season, Colborne registered 19 points (10 goals, 9 assists) and was the Reebok/AHL Player of the Month for October.
