The Utica Comets have stormed back in their North Division semifinal series, and now it’s the regular-season champion Toronto Marlies who are reeling.

Utica defeated Toronto, 5-2, in Game 4 on Friday night, their second consecutive convincing win at home. The best-of-five series comes down to a decisive Game 5 back in Toronto on Sunday afternoon (4 p.m. ET).

Reid Boucher scored twice and Thatcher Demko (2-2) made 40 saves for the Comets, who outscored the Marlies 10-4 in the two games at the Adirondack Bank Center. Boucher has three goals in two contests since returning to the Utica lineup.

Tanner MacMaster registered a goal and an assist, and Cam Darcy, Nikolay Goldobin and Patrick Wiercioch chipped in two assists each in the Game 4 victory.

Utica’s five goals came on 20 shots against Baz Bastien Award winner Garret Sparks (2-2), who now owns an .860 save percentage in the series.

Dmytro Timashov and Pierre Engvall scored for the Marlies.
