The Western Conference semifinals ended tonight with the Utica Comets defeating the Oklahoma City Barons, 1-0, in Game 7. The top-seeded Comets, in the conference finals for the first time, will take on the second-seeded Grand Rapids Griffins, who eliminated the Rockford IceHogs in five games to reach the conference finals for the second time in three years.
The Eastern Conference finals will pit the Manchester Monarchs against the Hartford Wolf Pack in a series that begins Thursday:
