The Phoenix Coyotes, parent club of the AHL’s Portland Pirates, announced today the signing of right wing Chris Conner to a one-year, two-way contract.
The 5-foot-8, 180-pound Conner registered 16 goals and 37 assists for 53 points in 57 AHL games with Grand Rapids in 2011-12. He also skated in eight games with Detroit, recording one goal and two assists.
The 28-year-old native of Westland, Mich., has recorded 88 goals and 139 assists for 227 points in 275 career AHL games with Grand Rapids, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Peoria and Iowa. He also has 17 goals and 26 assists for 43 points in 147 career NHL games with Detroit, Pittsburgh and Dallas.
