The Syracuse Crunch scored three times with their goaltender pulled late in regulation and capped the comeback with a goal 2:36 into overtime for a 6-5 victory over the Utica Comets on Saturday night.
The loss keeps the Comets four points behind Oklahoma City, Rockford and Charlotte, who are all tied for eighth place in the AHL’s Western Conference.
Down 5-2, the Crunch needed just 46 seconds to pull even. Vladislav Namestnikov scored with 1:39 remaining in the third to make it 5-3 before Jonathan Marchessault scored at 18:52 and 19:07 to tie the game.
