San Jose Sharks General Manager Doug Wilson announced Monday that the club has re-signed goaltender Aaron Dell to a one-year contract.

Dell, 26, posted a 15-8-2 record with a 2.06 goals-against average and a .927 save percentage to go along with four shutouts in 26 games with the Worcester Sharks last season. Amongst AHL rookie goaltenders, Dell ranked 3rd in goals-against average, T-2nd in save percentage and T-3rd in shutouts in his first full AHL season. In addition, Dell posted an 8-1-2 record with a 2.84 goals-against average and a .902 save percentage in 12 games with Allen of the ECHL.
In 32 career AHL games with Worcester and Abbotsford, Dell has compiled a 16-10-2 record with a 2.09 goals-against average and a .926 save percentage. In 41 career ECHL contests with Allen and Utah, the netminder has posted a 27-8-5 record with a 2.34 goals-against average and a .915 save percentage.
Dell won the Central Hockey League Championship with the Allen Americans in 2013 and was named the CHL’s most outstanding goaltender in 2012-13. He is currently the career leader at the University of North Dakota in goals-against average (1.79) and save percentage (.923), during his three seasons with the university.
The six-foot, 210-pound native of Airdrie, Alberta, was originally signed as a free agent by San Jose on March 4, 2015.
