Ducks sign three Admirals to NHL deals
The Anaheim Ducks, parent club of the AHL's Anaheim Ducks, announced Wednesday that they have signed left wing Troy Bodie, defenseman Ryan Parent and left wing Jay Rosehill each to one-year contracts.
Bodie, 27, has scored two goals and seven assists with a plus-4 rating and 72 penalty minutes in 34 games this season with Norfolk, ranking third on the team in plus/minus and second in PIM.
The 6-foot-4, 213-pound winger has appeared in 288 career AHL contests with Norfolk, Syracuse, Toronto, San Antonio, Iowa, Springfield and Hamilton, notching 39 goals, 41 assists and 489 penalty minutes. He has also collected six goals, five assists and 141 PIM in 107 career NHL games with Carolina and Anaheim.
Parent, 25, has two assists in 27 contests with Norfolk this season. A first-round draft pick (18th overall) by Nashville in 2005, Parent has played 162 regular-season AHL games with Norfolk, Chicago, Manitoba and Philadelphia, totaling four goals and 16 assists. He made his pro debut with Milwaukee during the 2006 Calder Cup Playoffs, helping the Admirals reach the Finals.
The 6-foot-3, 198-pound blueliner is a veteran of 106 NHL contests with Vancouver and Philadelphia, earning one goal and six assists. He also appeared in 17 playoff contests with the Flyers en route to their Stanley Cup Final appearance in 2010.
Rosehill, 27, has notched one goal, three assists and 71 penalty minutes in 24 games with Norfolk this season. In 351 career AHL games with Norfolk, Toronto and Springfield, Rosehill has totaled 20 goals, 31 assists and 999 PIM, and reached the Calder Cup Finals with the Marlies in 2012.
Rosehill has two goals, three assists and 198 PIM to his credit in 72 career NHL matches, all with Toronto.
