Game 3 (OT)

Carter Camper finished off an odd-man chance just 31 seconds into overtime and the Providence Bruins grabbed a commanding 3-0 series lead with a 2-1 win over the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Wednesday night.

The Bruins can complete the sweep and advance to the Eastern Conference finals with a win in Game 4 on Friday.

Camper intercepted a clearing attempt by Alex Grant and kept the puck in at the Penguins' blue line, then sent a cross-ice pass to Jordan Caron. Caron quickly fed Craig Cunningham in the slot, and Cunningham's shot deflected right to Camper, who extended his scoring streak to seven games with his seventh goal of the postseason.

Jared Knight opened the scoring 3:04 into the second period with his first playoff goal, taking a pass from behind the net from Kyle MacKinnon and snapping a shot past Brad Thiessen, making his first start of the series.

Wilkes-Barre tied it at 10:42 when Trevor Smith found a loose puck after a long shot by Cody Wild was stopped by Niklas Svedberg. Smith's first goal of the playoffs made it 1-1.

The third period despite a 13-7 edge in shots for the Penguins.

Svedberg (6-2) finished with 32 saves on the night, earning his sixth consecutive win after losing the first two games of the opening round to Hershey.

Thiessen (1-1) stopped 20 of 22 shots in the loss.
