Falcons and Monarchs square off tonight

The Springfield Falcons have started off the 2005-06 season with a record of 6-3-1-1, but one of those losses was a 3-2 defeat to the Manchester Monarchs on Oct. 15.

Tonight, the Falcons look for revenge as the Monarchs visit the MassMutual Center for an Atlantic Division clash. Catch all the action beginning at 7:00 p.m. (ET) as B2 Networks delivers the live video webcast straight to your computer.

Springfield comes in just four points out of first place in the Atlantic, led in scoring by Jason Jaspers with 12 points in 11 games. Norm Milley has scored six goals on the year — five on the power play — and rookie Ryan Vesce has recorded six points in his last five outings.

The Monarchs, last year’s division champions with 51 wins and 110 points, are led in scoring by rookie Jeff Tambellini and perennial AHL sharpshooter Brad Smyth. Tambellini, a first-round draft pick by Los Angeles in 2003, picked up all eight of his points in a three-game span from Oct. 29 to Nov. 4.

Petr Kanko scored the winning OT goal for the Monarchs on Oct. 15, but has been held scoreless in six games since.
