Fehr dealt to Sharks

The San Jose Sharks have acquired forward Eric Fehr from the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for a 2020 seventh-round draft selection.

Fehr, 32, has recorded 17 goals and 11 assists for 28 points in 34 AHL games with the San Diego Gulls this season, leading the team in goals and ranking tied for fourth on the club in points. He also appeared in four NHL games with Toronto in 2017-18.

Fehr joins the Sharks having played 566 career NHL games with Washington, Winnipeg, Pittsburgh and Toronto, registering 103 goals and 99 assists for 202 points. He also has 67 goals and 62 assists for 129 points in 155 AHL games with San Diego and Hershey.

Fehr won a Calder Cup with Hershey in 2006 and a Stanley Cup with Pittsburgh in 2016. The native of Winkler, Man., was originally selected by Washington in the first round of the 2003 NHL Draft.
