Flames sign winger Hrivik

The Calgary Flames announced Saturday that they have signed left winger Marek Hrivik to a one year, two-way contract.

Hrivik, a native of Cadca, Slovakia, split last season between the New York Rangers and their AHL affiliate in Hartford. In 16 games with the Rangers, Hrivik registered a pair of assists; he netted 16 goals and 24 assists for 40 points in 56 AHL games with the Wolf Pack.

Hrivik, 25, has skated in 318 career AHL games, all with Hartford/Connecticut, since turning pro late in the 2011-12 season. He recorded 61 goals and 107 assists for 168 points, and added 18 points (8g, 10a) in 24 Calder Cup Playoff contests.

Hrivik skated in 21 NHL games with the Rangers, totaling three assists.
