Florida signs Knight, Wilson to one-year deals

Florida Panthers Executive Vice President and General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the club has agreed to terms with F Corban Knight and F Garrett Wilson to one-year, two-way contracts.

 

Knight, 24, played in 58 American Hockey League games last season, recording 36 points (16-20—36) for the Adirondack Flames and San Antonio Rampage, while appearing in two National Hockey League games for the Calgary Flames. Knight has played in 128 AHL games, recording 81 points (34-47—81) with 70 PIM.
 
The Oliver, BC, native was selected by Florida in the fifth round (135th overall) of the 2009 NHL Draft. Knight has played in seven NHL games, recording one goal, six shots and 13 hits.
 
Wilson, 24, played in 71 games with the San Antonio Rampage, ranking second on the club in goals (23) during the 2014-15 season. His 23 goals and 38 points recorded during the 2014-15 season were AHL career-highs. Wilson appeared in two NHL games with the Panthers last season. For his AHL career, Wilson has played in 179 games, recording 74 points (41-33—74).
 
The Barrie, ON, native was selected by Florida in the fourth round (107th overall) of the 2009 NHL Draft. Wilson has played in nine NHL games, recording nine shots and 16 hits.
