Cody Glass scored on a breakaway 14:03 into overtime to give Chicago a 5-4 win over San Diego in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals on Friday night.

The Wolves host Game 2 on Saturday (8 p.m. ET, AHLTV, NHL Network).

Tomas Hyka sprung Glass on the breakaway after the rookie forward had retreated to the bench for a new stick. Glass snapped a shot home from between the circles for his second OT goal of these playoffs.

Chicago led by a goal on three separate occasions in regulation, but needed Nic Hague‘s marker with 3:05 remaining to force overtime.

Tobias Lindberg, Daniel Carr and Tye McGinn also scored for the Wolves. Hyka joined Zach Whitecloud and T.J. Tynan with two assists each.

Max Comtois scored twice for San Diego, and Corey Tropp and Andy Welinski added single tallies. Adam Cracknell notched two assists to take over the AHL playoff scoring lead with 14 points.

Oscar Dansk (7-3) made 40 saves for the Wolves, who were outshot by a 44-28 margin in the game.
