Heat sign three to AHL deals

The Stockton Heat have signed defenseman Zac Leslie and forwards Alex Gallant to Jeremy McKenna to one-year American Hockey League contracts.

Leslie, 25, tallied two goals and 14 assists for 16 points in 67 regular-season games with the AHL’s Chicago Wolves in 2018-19. He added two goals and four assists in 22 postseason games, with both goals coming in the Calder Cup Finals vs. Charlotte.

Leslie has skated in 215 AHL games over four seasons with Chicago and Ontario, totaling 13 goals and 53 assists for 66 points.

Leslie was originally a sixth-round pick by Los Angeles in the 2013 NHL Draft.

Gallant, 26, recorded one goal and one assist along with 102 penalty minutes in 47 games with the Chicago Wolves last season. He also skated in six playoff contests.

In 141 AHL games with Chicago, Syracuse and San Jose during his six pro seasons, Gallant has recorded three goals, five assists and 544 PIM.

McKenna, 20, skated in 68 games with Moncton (QMJHL) last season, leading the team with 45 goals, 52 assists and 97 points. McKenna finished fifth in the league in scoring.
