Hensick returning to Reign

The Ontario Reign announced today that the team has agreed to terms with forward T.J. Hensick.

Hensick, 31, led the Reign last season with 36 assists and 52 points in 67 games played. The Howell, Michigan, native became the 90th player in AHL history to reach 500 points on January 21 with a pair of assists vs. San Jose, and enters his 11th professional season in 2017-18 with 155 goals and 368 assists for 523 points in 570 AHL games with Ontario, Utica, Charlotte, Hamilton, Hartford, Peoria and Lake Erie.

A four-time participant in the AHL All-Star Classic (2008, 2010, 2011, 2012), Hensick was also named a Second Team AHL All-Star for the 2011-12 season. He was selected by the Colorado Avalanche in the third round (88th overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, and has 12 goals and 26 assists for 38 points in 112 career NHL games with the Avalanche and St. Louis Blues.
