I-Stars unveil ticket plans

Iowa’s new American Hockey League franchise, the Iowa Stars, recently announced their prices for season seat packages.

“The ticket prices were set so that it will be affordable for everyone to attend Stars game next season,” said team president John Pettit. “It is important for us to provide affordable family entertainment in what we feel is a world class facility. Having a top professional team play in a brand new arena will be an experience in itself. We believe that the Iowa Stars games will become the hot spot for the winter.”

Season seat prices will start as low as $8 per game.

Jason Dawbin, the Stars’ ticket manager, said, “Having the Iowa Stars in town will really give everyone a great option for an entertaining night out. Being able to attend a Stars game for less than the price of a movie ticket is something our organization wanted to insure. There will be no experience like a sold out opening night at the Wells Fargo Arena.”

Season package prices will be $336, $504, $714, and $840. Those who sign up for season seats will receive a 20% savings over gate prices.

With affordable prices and tickets starting at under $10, the Stars expect that season seats in the best locations will disappear fast. Local businesses and individuals who have not yet reserved their tickets should call to hold their seats so they will be there when the Stars come out in Iowa.

“With over 1,300 seats already on hold and people continuing to call daily, we are happy at the response we have received but we expect the demand to increase dramatically now that our season seat prices have been announced” said Pettit. “When the lights go down on opening night and thousands of fans are cheering, as their first Iowa Star hits the ice, I think people will really see that professional hockey is at home in Iowa.”

Fans interested in season seat packages should call (515) 23-STARS for information or visit iowastarshockey.com for a seating chart and prices. Being on the priority list gives fans the first opportunity to purchase the best seats in the Wells Fargo Arena.
