Islanders agree to terms with four

The New York Islanders, parent club of the AHL’s Bridgeport Sound Tigers, announced today that goaltender David Leggio and forwards Jack Skille, Harry Zolnierczyk and Kael Mouillierat have agreed to terms on one-year, two-way contracts.

Leggio, 29, posted a 23-18-3 record with a 2.63 goals-against average and a .913 save percentage in 45 games last season with the AHL’s Hershey Bears. A native of Buffalo, N.Y., Leggio has appeared in 201 career AHL contests with Hershey, Rochester, Portland, Albany and Binghamton, amassing a record of 111-80-6 with a 2.66 GAA, a .917 save percentage and 11 shutouts.

Skille, 27, notched 13 goals and 11 assists for 24 points in 22 AHL games with Springfield last season, as well as four goals in 16 regular-season games and one assist in six playoff games with Columbus. The Madison, Wis., native has skated in 211 contests in the AHL with Springfield, Rockford and Norfolk, totaling 76 goals and 84 assists for 160 points. He was an AHL All-Star in 2010.

Zolniercyk, 26, notched 18 goals and 18 assists for 36 points in 57 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton last season, and added two goals in 13 NHL contests with Pittsburgh. He has 81 points (40 goals, 41 assists) in 173 career AHL matches with W-B/Scranton, Norfolk and Adirondack, along with nine points (five goals, four assists) in 57 NHL games with Pittsburgh and Philadelphia.

Mouillierat, 26, recorded career highs in goals (20), assists (33) and points (53) last season with the St. John’s IceCaps, and then added 13 points (seven goals, six assists) in 21 playoff games as St. John’s advanced to the Calder Cup Finals. In 160 career AHL games with St. John’s, Bridgeport and Texas, Mouillierat has 120 points (39 goals, 81 assists).
