Kings acquire Subban from Vancouver

The Los Angeles Kings have acquired defenseman Jordan Subban from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for forward Nic Dowd.

The 22-year-old Subban has played in 16 games with the AHL’s Utica Comets this season, tallying five assists. The third-year pro was an AHL All-Star in 2016-17, and has recorded 27 goals and 50 assists for 77 points in 148 career AHL games, all with Utica.

Subban was a fourth-round pick by Vancouver in the 2013 NHL Draft.

Dowd, a Calder Cup champion with Manchester as a rookie in 2015, has one assist in 16 games with Los Angeles this season.
