Kristo returns to Chicago

The Chicago Wolves announced that right wing Danny Kristo, the team’s leading goal-scorer last season, has signed a two-way contract to return to the organization.

Kristo, 26, paced the Wolves with 25 goals and led the American Hockey League with 4 game-winning overtime goals during the 2015-16 season. He finished with a professional-best 48 points in 71 games.

A second-round pick in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, Kristo has delivered 72 goals and 68 assists in 217 AHL regular-season games. During three-plus seasons in the league, Kristo also has skated for the Hamilton Bulldogs and the Hartford Wolf Pack.

Prior to his professional career, Kristo was a standout at the University of North Dakota and earned the College Hockey News’ 2013 Player of the Year award in his senior season.
